Mark & Save Expansion: 8 New Stores Coming to GCC

Mark & Save, the affordable luxury brand from Western International Group, will open eight new hypermarkets across the GCC within six months. The company has not yet revealed the store locations. Meanwhile, the expansion coincides with the brand celebrating 200 days of operations at one of its largest stores in Ajman Industrial Area.

Debangshu Adhikari, Senior Vice President at Mark & Save, said, “Mark & Save continues to expand its presence in the UAE and GCC by combining value-driven pricing with an unmatched customer experience.” The brand currently operates eight stores in the UAE and 19 across the GCC. Additionally, the company plans to open a 20th store soon in Ajman Al Thalla.

The retailer serves diverse communities with over 200,000 products sourced from Poland, Turkey, Norway, the UK, Spain, China, Bangladesh, and Thailand. Mohammed Fasil, Head of Operations, added, “We serve a wide range of nationalities with products tailored to cultural preferences. Our assortment ensures that ethnic or nationality-specific products remain available.”

Western International Group, the parent company of Nesto, Mark & Save, Geepas, and Royalford, recently acquired Safeer Mall in Sharjah. A Mark & Save store will open there by 2026, further strengthening the brand’s presence in the UAE.

The brand’s expansion mirrors broader growth trends in UAE retail. Dubai Chambers forecasts that retail sales in the UAE will grow 6.6% annually, reaching $70.5 billion by 2025. Furthermore, store-based retail is expected to grow at a 5.7% CAGR.

Currently, Mark & Save employs over 3,000 staff. The company also aims to establish 500 stores worldwide, including in India, Southeast Asia, North America, and Europe. Its “affordable luxury” concept positions the brand as a benchmark for quality savings. Moreover, it capitalizes on changing consumer lifestyles and the region’s growing population.

To celebrate its Ajman milestone, Mark & Save will host a four-day discount event from September 25-28. During the event, customers can win daily Dh200 shopping vouchers for the next 200 days.

Overall, the Mark & Save expansion highlights the brand’s commitment to value-driven shopping experiences. Additionally, it demonstrates how the company continues to grow its footprint across the GCC and beyond.
